An office building in Krakow, Poland.

Few of Poland’s once great monuments and ancient buildings still stand after enduring a troubled history, but some do and they show a Romanesque Brick Gothic style of architecture. Each city, however, has a distinct style of architecture: Wroclaw is influenced by German architecture, Kazimierz Dolny is a medieval town, and Krakow is an urban Gothic city.

While Poland features some of the oldest styles of architecture, it does develop as new architectural styles do, evident from the baroque style of various castles in Poland.
