France is the largest country in Western Europe and the third-largest European nation. It was founded in 1792 and the capital is Paris. France currently has a population of about 67 million. It is a developed country with the secondest-largest exclusive economic zone. With an oustanding economy, beautiful land and breath-taking attractions, France is well worth the visit.
France is ran by a Fifth Republic government. There president is François Hollande. He won the election in 2008. He became elected president on May 6th and was sworn in on May 15th. Hollande is part of the Socialist Party.
France uses the Euro system. The Euro was adopted by the country on Janurary 1st, 2001. Before the Euro, France used the Franc. One Euro equals to about $1.27 in the U.S. 1€ is equal to $1.33 in the U.S.
France is most known for the Eiffel Tower. However there are many other beauifuk attractions including the St. Tropez and The Louvre. If you are looking for some good food and site seeing, than France is the place to go.
