Volunteer Opportunities

We all have different skills, life experiences and abilities.  Any and all of these can be extremely valuable to a student.  To help you get a better idea of where you might volunteer and what you might do, we suggest you answer the following four questions:

1.  What age group do you prefer to work with?

  • Preschool
  • Elementary
  • Middle School
  • High School

2.  What location in our school district would you most prefer?

3.  What would you most like to do as a volunteer?

4.  How much time do you have to offer?

Once you have thought through the answers to these questions you are now ready to look at the volunteer opportunities that are available.  While each school will offer varied and unique volunteer opportunities, many, if not most, of the volunteer opportunities listed below will will available in all our schools.

Some of these opportunities are:

  • Mentoring
  • Tutoring
  • Assisting classroom teachers
  • Assisting in the library/media
  • Office assistant
  • Lunchroom assistant
  • Read to a student
  • Listen to children read
  • Help students with homework
  • Science projects
  • Book fairs
  • Bus monitor

For further information concerning volunteer opportunities, contact the school in which you would like to volunteer.
