Wesley Hammond
Recommendation

I have had the pleasure of working with Wesley Hammond since he was nine and a member of the Gateway Community Children’s Chorus that I conducted at the time.  Since that time he has been and remains involved in many of the theatrical productions and choirs that I have directed through The Montgomery County Council for the Arts and at Montgomery County High School as director of our Vocal Music Department.  He has been an outstanding musician, student and person.   Wesley has earned many accolades.  He has a remarkably bright future and will make a worthy addition to any institution of higher learning.

Wesley has accomplished many things and earned a great deal of recognition as a singer.  In addition to earning a spot in the Kentucky Governor’s School of the Arts he has also been a member of the Kentucky All State Chorus for three consecutive years, earning the highest Tenor score in our region.  After earning a perfect sight reading score this year, he was the highest rated singer overall in the Kentucky All State Chorus Auditions.

Although he is highly gifted in the arts, Wesley has always been a great student as exemplified by his high GPA and selection of the most rigorous courses offered by MCHS.  Regardless of the subject, Wesley has a clear love for learning.  His love of learning combined with his humility modesty sets him apart from the many high achieving musicians I have worked with in my 23 years of being a music teacher.

Wesley has been a lead in many of our musicals and Drum Major of our award winning MCHS Marching Band.  Through these unique experiences, Wesley has developed and demonstrated mature, positive, and self - directed leadership skills that will be very valuable regardless of his choice of career field.

Obviously, Wesley is highly energetic and intelligent and he relates well with all people.  He is polite and respectful in all of his dealings with teachers and other adults.  He also is genuine in his interaction with his peers.  I have seen him interact positively with younger children.  He is a role model for all young people.

I have written many recommendations but seldom have I been surer that a student has the ability and inner strength necessary to succeed at the collegiate level like Wesley Hammond.  I know that he will have a positive impact on any college and is worthy of the highest degree of support.  I recommend him highly without reservation.  Please contact me if I can be of further help.

Sincerely,

Ashley R. Tyree

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this on behalf of Wesley Hammond, a student whom I’ve had the pleasure to get acquainted with over the past three years.

Wesley is intelligent, energetic and dedicated.  His attitude toward his classes has been consistently exemplary, in spite of pressures to the contrary from members of his peer group.  While a student at Montgomery County High, Wesley’s academic performance has been exceptional; he juggled its rigors with a full palate of in- and after-school activities, always exceeding my expectations. Wesley is ranked among the top twenty five in his graduating class as well as participating in FBLA, Governor’s School for the Arts, National Honors Society and performing in our annual spring musical all four years of high school.

I have every reason to believe that Wesley will make an easy transition to college life and will enjoy the same academic and extracurricular success there.  He will be a credit to any institution and whatever program he chooses to enroll in.

I recommend Wesley in confidence and can attest to the success with which he will meet while pursuing his academic dreams.

If you require any further information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Melissa Eads
