To whom it may concern:
I am writing to recommend Mr. Christian Cole for admission and scholarship funding. Mr. Cole embodies characteristics valued by any post-secondary education culture. He is an outstanding student, maintains excellent rapport with others, and possesses leadership skills.
Christian is currently enrolled in my English IV course at Montgomery County High School. I have the opportunity to observe Christian’s interactions with peers on a daily basis and draw conclusions about his academic abilities. I notice that Christian is always a willing participant in group projects. He completes work on a timely basis and readily participates in class discussions. Moreover, he takes pride in his work.
Christian has a fantastic personality and is even-tempered. I have noticed that he is well-liked by his peers and teachers. His temperament and great sense of humor endear him to his contemporaries and instructors alike. Moreover, Christian is polite, attentive, and well-mannered. I’m certain that he will work hard to become successful in the next leg of his academic career.
Even though Christian is an outstanding student and a likeable young man, perhaps his greatest attribute is his ability to lead. Several of Christian’s close friends are enrolled in English IV.  I have noticed that Christian assumes responsibility for brainstorming and organizing collaborative projects. I have also noticed that Christian makes wise academic and personal decisions. At a time when many of Christian’s contemporaries begin unhealthy habits, Christian is confident in making sound moral decisions and resisting negative peer pressure. His attitude, influence, and maturity are rare and refreshing.
Christian Cole will make a successful college student. He is a bright, hard-working young man who deserves admission and access to financial support for his education. Please do not hesitate to contact me regarding my experience with this fine young man. I can be reached at (859) 274-6753.
Sincerely,

Lori Hawkins-Looney

To Whom It May Concern:

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Christian Cole.  Christian has been a student at Montgomery County Area Technology Center for three years.  He has taken several courses in the office technology program including: Introduction to Computers, Photoshop, Flash, Financial Literacy, Web Design, and Special Problems.  In 2010 Christian received the Student of the Month Award in his financial literacy class.

Through his involvement with Future Business Leaders of America, Christian has participated in various community service projects and competed at the regional, state, and national levels.  The competitive events in which he has participated have required him to conduct extensive research, prepare written reports, and create detailed presentations.  These activities have helped Christian obtain skills in time management, public speaking, and networking.  All of these skills will assist Christian in postsecondary education and his chosen career path.

Christian has excelled in both his program of study and co-curricular activities at Montgomery County ATC.  He is a polite young man that always conducts himself in a professional manner.  The faculty and staff of Montgomery County ATC have enjoyed working with him throughout his high school tenure.  We are confident that he will excel at all of his future endeavors.

If I can provide more information about Christian’s qualifications for study at the postsecondary level or work, please contact me.

Sincerely,

Dale Winkler, Ed.D.
Principal
