To Whom It May Concern:

One of the perks of being a guidance counselor is getting to write letters of recommendations for my students.  I am pleased to have the opportunity to say a few words about Leighia Eggett, who is an extremely smart young lady with a warming soul.       Leighia is currently ranked number 1 in a class of 266. She is very active in clubs throughout the school while maintaining a tough senior schedule.  She is an exemplary student who has carefully prepared herself to excel on the college level.

Leighia has put together a truly remarkable academic record.    She has earned an outstanding 4.417 weighted grade point average while undertaking a very demanding curriculum.  Through all her honor classes and AP classes she has continued to make all A’s across the board.

Leighia is involved in the National Honor Society, Beta, FBLA and Serve and works as a Math Leadership student in math classes assisting students who are struggling.  She is very dependable and has been honored for her Perfect Attendance in years past.

I am very excited for Leighia as she gets ready to venture into this next phase of her life.  She has truly been an asset to both our school and community.  I know that she will do well and there is a success in store for her future.  I am proud to offer my enthusiastic recommendation for Leighia.

Sincerely,

Lacy Carrington-Gross

Martha Payne,AP Calculus AB Teacher

To Whom It May Concern:

I am writing this letter on behalf of a former student of mine, Leighia Eggett.  I was privileged to have been Leighia’s teacher for her Pre Calculus, Advanced Topics, and AP Calculus AB courses during her sophomore and junior years at Montgomery County High School in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.  In these courses Leighia earned grades of 98%, 94%, and 95% respectively.

I can say without a doubt that Leighia was one of the brightest students I have ever encountered.  She exhibited a superior work ethic and had the motivation to “go the extra mile” and apply herself so that she understood the fine nuances of difficult math concepts.

Leighia also showed extreme poise under the pressures and rigors of challenging and demanding coursework.  She had the maturity of an adult and was far superior to her peers in this respect.  Even though the subject matter was difficult, Leighia persevered with patience and diligence until the task was complete. She could always be counted on to conduct herself with grace and style and the utmost courtesy. Leighia has earned the respect of the faculty and her peers and is highly regarded as one of the brightest students at our school.

It is without hesitation that I recommend Leighia Eggett for your consideration.  You will not regret your decision.  If you require additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Cordially,

Martha Payne
